Iced Tea Fruit Punch Recipe

Iced Tea Fruit Punch

India only has 2 seasons, hot and super hot. October as a month definitely falls in the second category! With the mercury soaring to a balmy 35 degrees centigrade on most afternoons, we completely understand the need to chill out with an icy fresh fruit punch. Add to this concoction the goodness of tea and you suddenly have an amazingly rejuvenative elixir, that is both refreshing and refreshingly simple to create. So without any further ado, here’s how you go about making yourself a pitcher of the Ice Tea Fruit Punch.

Tea Fruit Punch:

What you’ll need:

  • 1.5 litres of brewed chilled black tea unsweetened

  • 1 litre pineapple juice

  • 1 litre lime cordial

  • 1 litre ginger lemon (available in Mangalore stores and hypermarkets)

  • 1 litre orange or sweet lime juice

  • Slices of orange or lemons

How to make it:

  • Pour the brewed chilled black tea into a resealable ziplock bag and freeze solid

  • Place the frozen tea block into a punch bowl and add the remaining ingredients

  • Let the tea mixture mix and infuse gradually in the mixture. The resultant punch is both packed with phytonutrients and antioxidants, and extremely tasty!

So unwind on a hot October afternoon with this drink and watch the world go by!
